Congratulations to Karel De Witte, who has been awarded a PhD fellowship in fundamental research from the Research Foundation Flanders (FWO)!
Over the next four years, Karel will systematically investigate how nanoconfinement affects the properties and behavior of water. This research under the supervision of Prof. Veronique Van Speybroeck will provide fundamental insights that can help advance future technologies, including atmospheric water harvesting, clathrate formation, and catalysis.
